Hello everyone! I know it has been a long time but WOW time has been flying faster than ever! I have less than 3 weeks until my fitness competition and let me tell you training/cooking/cardio/sleeping/training my clients is very time consuming! So that is my excuse number 1! Excuse number 2 my business has really taken off! My schedule is completely full of clients, now this is definitely not a complaint but it is another reason why I have not had time to keep up with my blog! Last but not least, with the free time that I do have lately I am trying to sleep. So once the competition is over and I get my schedule sorted out I will be back to blogging at least once per week 🙂
I just wanted to send a big THANK YOU to all of you who have been following my progress on my Facebook page and for all the support along the way! It really REALLY helps reading your comments and seeing your “likes” on my photos. It is great to know that my hard work and dedication towards my goal can inspire others to push themselves to reach their goals as well!
The last few weeks are going to be very tough (low energy due to low carbs, intense training plus loads of cardio etc) but knowing that I have the support of so many friends and other competitors makes it all worthwhile! I am really looking forward to the competition but I am most excited to be done so I can enjoy food again, have a bit of a social life but more importantly have more ME time! The toughest part for me will be to maintain a healthy body weight and not gain back all the weight I lost. I will be working very closely with my naturopathic doctor (Dr Ellen Simone) to make sure that everything goes back to normal again (hormones, metabolism, digestion, food sensitivities etc) and will continue to work my butt off in the gym because I didn’t do all this work for nothing! I am proud of the physique that I have created throughout this process and I intend to stay in the best shape possible from now on! No more going back and forth!
Now it’s time for bed, ahh the life of a fitness competitor…early to rise (I am going to do a spin class tomorrow am) and early to bed (completely exhausted from the day)!
Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!
One thing I have learned during this competition prep is that I easily become unbalanced/overwork myself and don’t make time for yoga (bad Leslie!) so one of the first things I will be doing when I am done is to start practicing yoga more regularly AND I will start teaching again! Stay tuned for when I will be holding my classes:)
Oooh and more exciting news!! Next Sunday I will be doing a full day video production with Adam Langlois from Extremeline Productions. I am super excited for this but also kind of nervous! I have never done anything like this before!! I will be filming quite a few videos for a new website that will be created soon including some video blogs (professional ones, not using my iphone!) Some of my clients will also be involved in the production next weekend sharing their testimonials, etc …can’t wait to see the final products!
That’s all for now 🙂 Have a fantastic rest of your weekend! Hurry up spring, warm weather in Ottawa is LONG overdue!
